Stoneleigh Estate is located at 375 Edgewood Drive, Stanleytown, VA 24168, in the foothills of Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains. We're approximately 15 minutes from Martinsville and about an hour from Roanoke.
The mansion was built in 1929 in the Tudor Revival style. It has been lovingly maintained and thoughtfully updated over nearly a century, preserving its original architectural character while adding modern conveniences.
The estate encompasses 56 acres, including the Tudor mansion, formal gardens, manicured lawns, and natural woodland. There is ample space for events of every size and style.
Weddings & Events
Our outdoor ceremony and tented reception spaces accommodate up to 250 guests. The indoor ballroom seats up to 200 for a seated dinner with dance floor. For intimate gatherings, we have spaces perfect for as few as 20 guests.
Absolutely! Most couples choose to hold everything on the estate — ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, and even the rehearsal dinner. Having everything in one location is one of Stoneleigh's biggest advantages.
Yes, we have an excellent network of preferred caterers, florists, photographers, DJs, and other vendors who know the property well. You're also welcome to bring your own vendors — we're flexible.
Yes. The estate's indoor spaces — including the grand hall and ballroom — can accommodate your full guest count. We always have a beautiful backup plan, so weather is never a worry.
We recommend booking 12-18 months in advance for peak season (May-October). However, we occasionally have availability for shorter timelines, so it's always worth reaching out.
Yes, we offer flexible bar arrangements. You can provide your own alcohol or work with our preferred bar service providers. We'll discuss the options that work best for your event during your consultation.
Accommodations
Yes! On-site accommodations are one of our most loved features. The estate has several beautifully appointed guest rooms, including a dedicated bridal suite. Overnight stays include breakfast the next morning.
Yes, the estate is available for vacation stays as well. You can book the entire property for family getaways, friend reunions, or romantic retreats. Contact us for availability and rates.
We have partnerships with several nearby hotels including Hampton Inn Martinsville, Dutch Inn Hotel & Suites, and Best Western Plus Martinsville — all within a 15-20 minute drive. We can help arrange group room blocks for your guests.
Logistics
Yes, we have ample on-site parking for guests. For larger events, we can also coordinate overflow parking and shuttle service.
The main floor of the estate and primary event spaces are accessible. We have accessible pathways to outdoor ceremony areas as well. Please let us know about any specific accessibility needs and we'll make accommodations.
Events typically conclude by 11:00 PM, with the option to extend. Overnight guests, of course, can enjoy the estate well beyond that. We'll discuss timing details during your planning process.
